Shared Leadership Facilitator
Shirley Scott, Ed.D., is a Shared Leadership Facilitator at SLI where she currently serves in marketing…sharing her experiences as a principal with the Focus Instruction Process. She has been with SLI since 2010.
Dr. Scott has worked for CPS for over 25 years serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal of the Michael Faraday School. She is credited for initiating the Head Start program at that school, serving as its first teacher. She received many honors in that capacity. One of her major successes was in drastically improving school climate and transforming her struggling school academically, using the Focused Instruction Process.
Shirley has a B.A in Elementary Education, from Roosevelt University (Endorsed in Early Childhood), a M.S. in Educational Leadership and Certificate of Advance Study from National Louis, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership, from Nova South Eastern University, in Florida.
